Talk: Agile Assessment beyond Radar Charts

We routinely do assessments for information to support Agile transformations and to guide continuous improvement. But deciding how to act on the information isn’t always clear. We’re often unable to look beyond the surface to the real problems, and then to take a methodical value-focused approach to identifying what problems to work on. We have limited time and resources, so we need ways to confidently select the highest-value problems.

This talk examines techniques that can help us make those decisions objectively.

  • What we can do with assessment results
  • What the business really cares about
  • How we can select the highest-value problems
  • Decision techniques
  • Translating information into action
  • The economic view
  • Action at the team level
  • Action at the organization level

Andrew has led Agile transformations since 2008 — at the team level for productivity and vitality, and at the organizational level for a shift toward a Lean-Agile mind-set. Andrew has served as an Agile Coach at American Express, Ford Motor Company, Blue Cross Blue Shield, The Coca-Cola Company and others in financial services, healthcare, and consumer products.
