Talk: Agile @ Lego – Lessons Learned So Far
Lego Digital Solutions is on a journey. For over a year now we have been experimenting with how to apply agile program management across 20 teams, how to keep teams in sync without central planning, how to interface with other not-so-agile departments, and how to run 2-day planning meetings with 150 people based on principles of self-organization. In this talk Henrik will share some insights from this ongoing journey.
Henrik Kniberg is an Agile/Lean coach at Crisp in Stockholm, working primarily with Lego and Spotify. He enjoys helping companies succeed with both the technical and human sides of software development. During past 15 years he has been CTO of 3 Swedish IT companies and helped many more get started with Agile and Lean software development.
Henrik is former board member of the Agile Alliance and works regularly with Mary Poppendieck, Jeff Sutherland, Alistair Cockburn, and other thought leaders. He is the author of “Scrum and XP from the Trenches” and “Kanban and Scrum, making the most of both” and “Lean from the Trenches“. These books are available in over 12 languages, have over 500,000 readers, and are used as primary guide to Agile and Lean software development by hundreds of companies worldwide.
Talk: The Secret Science of Agile Testing
Would you bet your career on guessing that you know how to deliver high quality products? Do you depend on luck to find all the critical bugs and defects before the scheduled release date? Do you understand the many fields of Science that underly good testing practices? Do your testers? If not, do you feel lucky?
Intentional Test design and productive collaboration are keys to success employed by high-performing agile teams. When you build an agile team, your testers need to undergo an important shift – one that takes them from passive/accidental testing to testing designers and specialists. What’s the difference? Passion for learning, understanding the science required to intentionally uncover the quality of the ideas and system in development, and the ability to help other team members apply these ideas to deliver amazing products.
In this interactive session, Paul shows you some of the key concepts, models and tools used by high-performing testing specialists around the world. The exploration of these ideas will introduce you to the world of professional testing to give you a taste for what you should be demanding from your agile teams.
